Three people shot at north Houston auto dealership - KHOU

Two people were shot to death at a north Houston auto dealership Thursday afternoon and a third was wounded.

HOUSTON – Two brothers were shot to death at a north Houston car dealership Thursday afternoon and a third relative was wounded.

The victims were shot inside the Immaculate Auto Sales dealership in the 200 block of Little York around noon.

A mechanic found the bodies of 60-year-old Tony Contreras and his 51-year-old brother Jesse.

Tony's son, 22-year-old Casey Contreras, was taken to Ben Taub Hospital with a gunshot wound. He is reportedly in critical condition.

Investigators don't believe it was a random shooting.

"The crime scene was carried out very methodically, very quickly," said HPD Homicide Detective Sgt. Brian Harris.

Detectives are still looking for a motive.

"We're looking at all angles, from robbery to a disgruntled customer," Sgt. Harris said. "We're just at the beginning stages of looking at the lives of our victims."

The family has owned the auto dealership for 15 years.

People say the Contreras family was known in the neighborhood for their kindness.

"I can't think of anyone who didn't like him because he was a likable guy. Him and his brother both," said Angie Simmons who runs a nearby day care. They were likable people.

At one point, the brothers a homeless man to live inside their R-V on the property.
"He helped him out by letting him stay there," said Mary Rocha, a family friend. "So you know he was a good person. I just don't understand how people could do that."

Investigators are hoping a surveillance video will give them some answers.
